MY FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT PIE

PIE enables its people to explore their interests and talents. My educational background is in graphic design/art and professional writing. In addition to coordinating many client projects, I serve the business as a graphic designer and marketing coordinator. I get to design visual communication systems for PIE and our clients, and I’m very passionate about these projects.

A PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT I’M PROUD OF

I was a professionally certified ski instructor, and additionally certified in teaching children. That experience taught me so much about communication and learning styles, made me develop patience, and showed me that participation in sports is important for building self-esteem. After working all season towards it, my favorite moment was taking my multi-week program group up Power Seeker at Big Sky; the huge smile of pride and accomplishment on one of my student’s faces is something I will never forget.

A new, very nice yoga mat to motivate me in doing my daily physical therapy exercises.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES

The Chicks are my favorite musical artist. I remember screaming the lyrics to Wide Open Spaces as a child, and singing their lyrics of empowerment (Goodbye Earl, anyone?). I got to see them in concert recently, and they were still vocal, political, and promoting female empowerment. Three women, in their 50s, were owning a stage with their lyrics, voice, and musical instruments; it was a truly inspiring concert.
