Celebrating 25 Years

Jacob Parks – Fun during Eras of Leadership

As PIE celebrates 25 years, its story comes into focus through the voices of the people who have shaped it. In Jacob Parks’ reflections, one idea stands out clearly. “I think of PIE in eras defined by our leaders.” Jacob shares. “Harry Wallace, then Tom, now Andi.”

For Jacob, each chapter carries its own personality. “All of these eras had different feelings of fun,” he says. He notes how these eras in many ways matched the spaces the company occupied. In PIE’s beginnings, the original location on Peach Street included egg crates hung on the walls to dampen sound which matched PIE’s scrappy can-do attitude.

In present day, PIE now has a two-building campus off Manley Rd which Jacob describes as matching PIE’s “established confidence and our place in the market.” Looking to the future, Jacob says “I’m excited to see what Andi does as she leads the business. We have more size and scope and will be able to do things not previously possible.”

Throughout all PIE’s eras and addresses, Jacob asserts that one thing has always remained true: “Trust is at the absolute center of everything PIE does. They ways of developing and maintaining trust are being challenged, but it’s still the thing that matters.”
