MY FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT PIE

My fellow packmates and our culture! I also find it fascinating to learn what business leaders across the world in different functions and industries are digging into. Our work gives us a rare opportunity to be at the center of these conversations.

HOW I LIVE A FULL LIFE

I keep myself busy outside of the office! I enjoy photography, golf, basketball, arts & crafts, and antiquing. But, most often, you’ll find me walking my labradoodle (Henry), chasing around my daughter (Sylvie), or spending time at our family cabin that we hand-built, mostly by repurposing materials from historical buildings on the land.

MY BOOK RECOMMENDATION

Orbiting the Giant Hairball: A Corporate Fool’s Guide to Surviving with Grace by Gordan MacKenzie; it is a fun read with fabulous illustrations and funny stories you don’t often find in business books. He explains how we are all geniuses from birth, but our artistic abilities are inevitably stripped as we conform to fit in with society. The author shares his story as a tenured executive at Hallmark Cards tasked with inspiring creativity and innovation. He achieves his goals by magically orbiting the rigidity of bureaucracy that is common in large organizations and his goal is to teach others how to do the same.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES

My favorite band is Led Zeppelin—they just get me moving and grooving! The Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, and Thank You bring me back to some of my favorite memories—driving dirt roads while camping, celebrating college graduation, walking down the aisle with my dad on my wedding day… they’re the BEST!
