About Caroline Knowles
MY FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT PIE
I love the variety of clients and projects I get to work with at PIE. With each conversation we lead, we get to create something new. I find that really exciting.
A PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT I’M PROUD OF
I spent much of my career is in university administration, having worked in both admissions and alumni relations. I earned a master’s in Higher Education and can easily nerd out on any subject related to the future and purpose of higher ed. After working in higher education in the United States for the start of my career, I made a bit of a pivot and moved overseas for another seven years to do humanitarian work in China, Kenya, and Malaysia. That experience changed the trajectory of my life, and I will be forever grateful that my career has not been a linear path.
MY BEST $100 PURCHASE
When I applied for my first US Passport, it cost $85. Since then, I’ve been to over 25 countries. Those experiences outside my home country have given me a curiosity and openness that I simply could not have received any other way.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES
As a Ted Lasso fan, I have to remind myself frequently to “be a goldfish.” They are the happiest animal on earth because they’ve got a 10-second memory—a great reminder for anyone who is their own worst critic.
