A NOTABLE EXPERIENCE

I spent a summer in San Diego while in college, working as a surf and kayak instructor. It was a great chance to try something new outside the Rocky Mountain West and help others connect with and enjoy the California coast. On weekends, I explored more of the area, including a trip to Ensenada, Mexico, to surf and experience the local culture.

My cast-iron skillet. It weighs as much as a small car, but it’s built for life and makes me feel like I’m starring in my own cooking show every time I use it.

I love good food! Made from scratch beef stroganoff and a slice of homemade apple pie pretty much hit the spot, especially when I’m sharing it with good company.
