Service Line I Like Working On

I love a classic executive business development community. It’s incredibly rewarding to work alongside our clients’ sales and marketing teams to build long-lasting relationships with executives through the exchange and see big wins come in for my clients.

One Thing That Has Surprised Me About PIE’s Work

One thing that has surprised me is the candidness of executive members both with me as facilitator and with their peers in the roundtable. There was an in-person dinner exchange I facilitated with a client after the group had been meeting virtually for a year. While the dinner roundtable conversation was great, what made it so special was that almost everyone stayed to chat for almost two hours after. My client’s team was able to deepen their relationships with important accounts and closed multiple new sales as a result of the post-dinner conversations.

About Sally Rohrer

A PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT I’M PROUD OF

While in grad school, I was appointed to be the District 8 Alder on the City of Madison Common Council. I learned so much through representing my community and working with different stakeholders in the policy-making process. I’ll never forget working with my colleagues to navigate the first few months of the COVID pandemic and keep city services running.

MY BEST $100 PURCHASE

My best $100 purchase was registration for the Madison Half Marathon with my siblings! All three of us are graduates of UW-Madison. Between us, we have three bachelor’s degrees, a MPA and a JD on the way. Running through Madison together as alumni was so special!

MY BOOK RECOMMENDATION
How to Know a Person by David Brooks! This book changed the way I think about my daily interactions and the powerful art of conversation. Brooks does a great job discussing what we can all do to make the people in our lives feel more seen and understood.

MY CURRENT GOAL

I’m currently working on my “30 Before 30 List,” a list of 30 things I’d like to accomplish before I turn 30 in April 2027. Some things on the list include skiing the Big Couloir at Big Sky, knitting a sweater, and learning to surf!

ONE OF MY FAVORITES

Beyonce has always been my most favorite. My mom got me tickets for my 20th birthday to see her perform at Soldier Field—it was the best gift I’ve ever received! This past summer, my mom, sister and I returned to Soldier Field to see her again for her Cowboy Carter World Tour and had to shelter in place for almost three hours during a tornado warning before the show. Worth it!
